By GMR's Defense Martial Arts Tatami Mats are unparalled in quality and performance in the Martial Arts Industry today. Our mat is a full 1/2" thicker than our competition without sacrificing a fast turning surface. Each Tatami Mat is 1 Meter (39.375") x 2 Meters (78.75") and a full 2" thick. The mat can be easily cut for a custom fit. Our Tatami Mat is a combination of 2 layers of 15/16" 2 lb. shock absorbing EVA PE with a center layer of hard board for stability, pivoting and fleet-footedness. This mat is the most forgiving mat in the market place. A student can actually take a fall on this mat and return next week for more training. Each mat is covered in Green or Red heavy duty Traditional Rice Textured vinyl which provides a high performance surface to grip and glide without stickiness. The corners are fully sealed and the bottom is covered in non skid waffle pattern. The BY GMR Defense Tatami mat offers:
