By GMR is proud to have developed the first Mushroom® in the USA in 1978. The Original Single Pommel Mushroom® gymnastics apparatus has a 24" steel head, padded with 3/4" Flextek foam, (excellent protection from microtrauma to wrist and elbows) and is upholstered in RED non-slip vinyl. One regulation plastic pommel is mounted on the center of the head (non-standard wood pommel pictured). The pommel is removable for regular Mushroom® work. The Mushroom® meets the USAG Mushroom® gymnastics equipment specification. It sits 24" high on a sturdy steel base. Single pommel Mushroom® work will allow for a quicker transfer to the pommel horse. Single pommel work is required on the pommel horse. The MUSHROOM® used carefully and consistently in early training will almost guarantee a competent pommel horse worker in the years to come. The MUSHROOM® is a registered trademark of GMR Gymnastics sales, Inc. Recommended minimum matting-two 4'x8'x1.25" tumbling mats. Add $100.00 shipping.
