It induces balance between the flexor and extensor muscles of the hand/wrist/forearm, stimulates all 3 nerve pathways to the muscles of the hand, increases the strength of the muscles that spread the fingers and thumb, exercises the fingers and thumbs through their full range of motion. sizing - comes with a band for sm/med hand and a band for med/lg hand, therefore one size fits all
